I was a little girl when I started to like the Renaissance era paintings, sculpture. I also greatly appreciated Impressionism but thats a different story.
So I was reading one book in Georgian language about art specifically Renaissance art. I was really inspired. I wrote down all the quotes I liked from that book and took the pictures of the pages I liked with the paintings, next I printed them out and hung them in my room.
I liked the details of the paintings, inspiration and everything about it.
There was this chapter "Sad faces of Boticcelli" which I really appreciated as one of the favorites and the most favorite image to me was "The birth of Venus" which was absolutely beautiful, blue and sentimental.
So now today when I m busy with my machine embroidery projects I made Aphrodite the same " The birth of Venus" ornament which speaks to me of something fascinating and with a story behind it.
I hope you enjoy it!
